Track your design changes with Parts Creation History view in Revit

 

PCL PartsLab® helps you manage Parts by assigning revision information to the Parts. This feature will help you track and review Parts created with each design update. A managed 3D view is automatically created and maintained that visually filters Parts by creation date.

 

When Parts are created by PartsLab, revision information is assigned to those when this dialog is displayed:

 

These revision assignments can be used to review Parts by each revision.

 

Review Parts by Revision:

1.Open the Settings tab in PartsLab.

2.Select the revision you want to highlight in the model.

3.Click the Show in History View button. In this managed view:

The Parts created with that revision assignment are colored green

All other Parts are all half-toned and 60% transparent

Click other revision entries to highlight the Parts created in that revision

 

This managed view is located in your Revit Project Browser - 3D Views > Parts Creation History. (the location of this 3D view may vary due to your project browser configuration)
